People rather enjoy con-plaining ai'MJt tax tureens and various public expenditures but at least one municipal acuv ity gets more praise than critkism. The band is keenly appreciated. Providing free entertainment of a high order, as it did last night, for these who enjoy ?c:d band music, it plays an important part in community life. Eecause nnt bers gladly .give their time and talent without corcpensatk-n. the cost to the taxpayers is small and the benefits are c.Mr-ciunity-wide. . La Grande is proud of her municipal band. and justly so.
