Cranberry Doaghnuls

One quart cranberries.
Two cups granulated sugar.
Two yant cups water.

the pulp add tho sugar and boll
quickly for 7 minutes, stir from
the hollom with a pancake turner
to prevent sticking.
Place In a shallow pan to seep,

Doughnuts ,
One cup sugar.
Ono egg.
One cup milk.
Two tablespoons melted fat.
Thre and one-hutf cups flour.
One-half teaspoon nutmeg.
One-half teaspoon cinnamon,
Ono teaspoon salt.
Ono tenspoou toda.
Two teaspoons cream tartar.
Sift together all dry Ingredi
ents. Add unbeaten egg, milk and
melted fat. Heat vigorously.
Roll out to about one-fourth
inch thick (more flour may be
added If needed). Cut into
squares or rounds, l'lneo a cube
of cranberry jelly on each square,
placing another square on top.
Moisten edges witli water und
pinch together. Fry in deep fat.
Drain on unglazed paper.
