LOS ANGELES, Aug. Ill (Al) Alexander Vantages, M -year-old theatrical magnate, was arraigned In superior court today and was granted a delay in his plea to cjiarget of criminally attacking 17-year-old Kunlce Vrlngle, a dancer, until August 22. The motion, made by Vantages' attorneys; said suf ficient time hud not been permit ted In setting the date of arraign ment to allow a study of the proceedings. j The district attorney's office to ' day had three new accusations, in Hie form of affidavits by young u:i- : women. The affidavits, one a lBti page, deposition, were offered vol untarily. District Attorney Huron Fitts stated, by girls who formerly were usherettes in Vantages theater. The principal deposition, which Fitts said named other girls as having received attentions similar to those assertedly forced upon Al iss Vringle by Vantages, was made by an usherette who stated the attempted attack upon her oc curred about a year ago.
