places in the road wero found In

Splendid Roads
S. L. Thompson spent yesterday
driving over the roads to Starkey,
Pilot Rock and Pendleton, looking
over the condition of the roads.
He found them exceptionally
smooth, except for a quarter of a
mile ride through gravel.
