members of one family drowned
when they were swept from a tree
top. A row bout on the -way to

uway by the swift current.

erully reported, occurred could not

Several families were reported
marooned In tree tops at Lament,
another nearby hamlet. Attempts
lo reach the community were futile
and rent was expressed that rising
waters would engulf the refugees
before aid could reach them.
