Interest in the performance of the new six cylinder motor is keen umong veterans of the automotive trade hen as well as among motor ists in general. O. K. Hunt, chief engineer of the Chevrolet Motor Company, who designed the new six, has u wide reputation in the automotive world. He has been connected with Chevrolet for five years, and for four of them he has worked corrttuutnisly "on the new ( six cylinder motor, In that time one hundred different designs were built und tested, before the present job was finally approved. Probab ly no engineer ever worked with greater resources for experimenta tion than did Hunt, and the results he obtained will be watched with tho deepest interest by the motor trade. Tho manner in which the Chev rolet organi'Jition lias swung into ,. production on the new six is re garded as a remarkable Industrial achievement. The sweeping changes in the new six from tho four-cylinder model nhich preceded it in volved factory re-equipping with new tools, dies and machinery to an extent and at a cost hard for the average motorist to conceive. To be able to place the new six cy linder models in the hands of all dealers in the brief npuee of time that has elapsed since the fours wero being produced In enormous volume is evidence of the surpris ing efficiency the Chevrolet fac tory organization has built up un der the supervision of President W. i.
