Mills, their dairy herd is composed

and have made one of tho highest
records of the 1'nlon-Wallowa Cow

business connected with his office.

candidates waiting to ho given the
degrees, but on account of the con
dition of the roads and weather
they have not been able to attend

schools over Union county. While
this mutter seems lo bo very. gen
erally settled over tho county, and
somewhat earlier than usual, it iu
said, tlie re are quite a few schools
who have not yet settled tho mat
ter of teachers fur next year. In
many instances them will be no
change. Teachers leaving tho pro
fession, other new ones coming in,
etc., will make changes In a num
ber of tho schools. '
At Union all the positions have
been filled excepting two. Ono po
sition is being eliminated, the num
ber uf primary teachers having
been reduced. Two other grado
teachers are leaving, having been
elected to other position.

elected as principal of the Pleasant
