There is no telling how far the movement will go, in this
age of steel. A few years ago the idea of steel furniture
and inside trim for office buildings was scoffed at, and look
at our office quarters and equipment now.
' Steel as material for homes is not very appealing so far,
but that is probably an artistic problem more than anything
else. Make steel houses attractive, either concealing the steel
or recognizing It as respt'ctablo building material and frankly
making tho best of it, and then tho public attitude may
change. It will help greatly if our mellalurgists can realize
their ideal of a rustless steel, or a cheap alloy that will not
rust or stain.
