Heal eggs well with 'j cup sugar and1 stir into rice mixture. Cook until thick, 10 or IS minutes. In tho meantime, pare mid core apples and cut In halves, crosswise. Make -i syrup of remaining sugar nnd water by boiling them together for four minutes. Add apples und .simmer until tender. Cam must be taken not to let the apple break during the cooking. Put a layer of rice in a serving dish and cover with halves of apples. Cover with another layer of rice and cover with apples.
