The function of accommodation
is especially strong In childhood

essential.
There Is a tempatlon. which Is
not always resisted, on the part of
those outside of the medical pro
fession, to bring litis imusure Into
disrepute, claiming that It Is Injur
ious to the eyes. This opinion Is
directly contrary lo facts, and pro
bably Is most common among
those without scientlt'lr training.
