Epworthians Meet At Neff Home The Kpworth League of the South Methodist Episcopal church met at the home o Mrs. v. C. Nct'f Thursday evening: with 2R mem bers present. The business meet ing was conducted by tlie presl- (Uy Sister Mary) Hrenkfast -Omngo and grape juice, cereal, thin cream, pouched eggs on graimni toast, crisp gra hum toast, milk, coffee. Luncheon Navy bean and tom ato soup, toasted brown bread, ap ple and celery salud, ginger pud ding, milk, tea. . I-Mnner llakcd halibut steaks, potato puff, stuffed green' peppers, tomato Jelly salad, rye, bread, cherry pie, milk, coffee. Of course the cherry plo Is not for juniors under 10 years of ago. A baked apple or dish of slewed fruit with- a plain cookie should bo jtlunncd for any children at the family table. Be sure that tho crust of tho plo is well baked. A hot oven should bo u.si'd for baking tho pie, sinco the filling is cooked. This ginger pudding is so simplo and so good that it might take tho place of a rich plum pudding If prepared. GINGER I'VOUINO Onc-fourth cup granulucd sugar, cup molasses, cup butter, 1 'A cups flour, tcattpoou ginger, y toapon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon soda, cup boiling water, H cup seeded and chopped raslns, cup clean ed currants, 2 tablespoons miriccd candied o ran go peel, B tablespoons minced candied lemon peel, cup chopped figs, 2 tublespoons, vanilla. Cream butter and beat In uffr. Add molasses und beat well. Mix prepared fruits with cup flour. Mix and sift remaining flour with spices. Add flour to first mixture niul mix smooth. Add half of the boiling water und mix thoroughly. Add floured fruit und mix well. IMssoIvo soda in remaining wuter und stir into mixture. Heat until smooth. Beat egg until light and stir with vanilla into batter. Pour Into a buttered mold, cover ' and steam for two hours'. Serve warm with hard sauce, lemon sauce or whipped cream.
