Tho dinner naiad If nothing new but it's often overlooked. Cream cheese and finely chopped nuts are worked to a .smooth mass with cream. Season with salt and papri ka and forui into tiny bails. Serve two or three balls, depending 6n the size, on each plate of lettuce. The lettuce must of course he per fectly craped, chilled and dried. French dressing can be poured over the lettuce just in-fore serv ing or passed for each person lo help himself. IIFKMITS One egg, l cup brown sugar, one third cup butter, cup chopped raisins, '4 cup .sweet, milk, 2 cups flour, 2 teaspoon soda, one half teaspoon cinnamon, Vt teaspoon cloves, one third leaxpoon nutmeg. teaspoon ginger, y teaspoon baking powder, Vs teaspoon salt. Cream butler and sugar and add ''gg well beaten. Mix and lft flour, salt, podn. baking powder . and spices. Add Htilf of tlie dry Ingre dients to first mixture. Add milk and beat until smooth. Add re maining flour with raisins. Mix thoroughly and drop from tip of spoon onto buttered and floured shallow pan. Hike 15 minutes In a moderate oven. Methodist F.ptsotipal.
