The sirup, must be dip ped over -the apples and tli ap ples turned frequenily to cook evenly. Keep the fire low us rapid cooking will break the fruit. When j the apples are lender remove to n serving 4lish or Individual plates. But remaining sugar into a heavy i sauce pan or small iron spider. Add almonds and stir over moderate fire until sugar melts and turns a bright straw color. Pour this car amel over the tops of the apples.
