NEWS 75 Members of ; Auxiliary Meet Tlie Young Women's Ktlucatlon ol Auxiliury mot last evening in the haH.iiunt of the .Methodist -church for the ri;-nt time ttfiur the t;u in m e r vacation, Seventy-six young women atter.ucd, making one of the largest meetings the uuxiilury has ever enjoyed. The church' was decorated with nutniun flowera and foliage, ami a jmrlor constructed in one cornet with rugs, Indian blankets, floor lumps und piano. The grand march, and stock parade was the fiiBt number on the "Round-Up" pro grain, Sirs. II. R MeDaniel curry tug off the blue j-ibbon for ihta c v-nt, and Mrs. J. k. Woodll whu ning second prize. The varloua booths and concessions were then opened, one of the most popular being the gypsy fortune teller's boot ii. where M itu M i inu Cooptr. disclosed the future of the guests in a highly original manner. Otlw ers were the Wild Woman in her tropical den, impersonated by Mrs. JloMi Currey, the "Nigger Haby,". at which everyone took three Hhot and "Tho l.lglu That Kalled," thesii being in charge of Miss Bertha Wal.-tnger. Mrs; Thomas Walsinger, JMhh Anuetta Johnson and Mrs. Will AdTer. - 'After a few games, the glrlfi present introduced themselves one by one by .short speeches. M at' Mabel Doty, the president of the auxiliary, greeted the old and new members in a very interesting amusing speech. The pageant "The Covered Wa gon," was a. novel form of serving relreshmenls. Two little coveted wagons, replicas of tho old "pral riu schooners" were wheejed in, and hot dogs and coffee served from them. After the refresh ments, everyone present joined in ringing a number of populur songs, corn panted by Mrs. Huth Kinman at the piano and Miss Mae .Stearns with-, her violin, and Jed by Mrs. Williams. , ; The committee in charge of the meeting consisted of MLss Olive Wilcox. chairman, Mrs. Allan Wright, Mrs. Sherwood Williams, MIhs JJcrthu Walainger, Miss Mima Cooper, MiFs Annetta Johnson, Ali.ss, Mabel Doty, Mrs. it.
