The home was made, b'-autiful with flowers and after a short business meeting an interest ing program was given, consisting of a reading by Mrs. K. Hal ley, a piano sool by Mrs. W. Cass and a piano solo by Miss Genevieve Ad ler. Delicious refreshments were ser ved after the program. The Junior Department of the Christ ian Church Sunday school, with the superintendent and teach er, hod a delightful picnic yester day. The class met at the church ot nine a. ni. and w re taken in cars society as hostesses. There was a good time at games ar.d visiting, picnic dinner was served, aft whlrh they returned to La Grande. Mix flours and add to first mixture. Add salt and 'cinnamon. Add egg well beaten. I Stir in cherries and add hot water , wit h soda dissolved in it. LSeat well and turn into a buttered mold.
