Mulled Cabbage one solid, medtum-si.ed head of cabbage, :i cups bread crumbs from soft part of loaf. 1 cup finely chopped cooked ham. 1 tablespoon minced green popper, A tablespoons melted hnttcr. yolks 2 eggs, I cup cracker crumbs, Itemove the coarse outer leaves of the cabbage, tnt out the stalk and cabbage around it to make :i good -sized -cavity, but leave n shell about one inch thick. Cook Ihe cabbage shell in boiling w.iler for ten minutes. I tip into cold water and drain. Combine bread crumbs with bant, moiled butler, green pepper and yolks of efcgs. M W thoroughly ami fill cabbage with in Ktu.ro. Cover filling with a coarse cabbage leaf. Tut two or throe strips of bacon in a casserole and place the bacon on top of the cabbage and pour 1ft two cups boiling water-. Place cover on cas serole and cook in a slow oven for two hours. Take off the cab bage leaf covering the stuffing, sprinkle wllh cracker crumbs anil dot wii h bits of butter. Brown in a hot oven.
