(Special) Oregon Agricultural college, con queror of Waahinston last Friday, will play University of Oregon at t'orvillis Saturday. The Aggies must beat the Webfooters to re tain their lead in both the Pacific coast and north wer.t conferences. Oregon met its first defeat Rat- uhrday at the hands of Washing ton. 29 to 33. The Washingtonians, after losing a one-sided game to the Aggies, Id to 27, looked like an entirely different teom against the Webfooters. Their teamwork was perfect in advancing the ball, al though their defense was weak. and Oregon broke through time and again, but lost its own game by failure to make many easy shots count, and fulling down miserably in converting four throws. While the Aggies and Oregon will be putting on their llttle'set lo, Washington will be host to Washington State collego at Se attle. The Cougars have played only one game In the coast con ference against the Aggies at Pullman a couple of weeks ago losing by four points. 14 to 18. Play by the Aggies haa been the most spectacular of the confer ence race. After winning from Pacific, 33 to Id, the Aggies drop ped a one-stded game to Wash ington, 17 to 32, at Seattle. The defeat cuused the forvallis lads to fight harder than ever, and they licked Washington Stale, Gonxaga, Idaho and Whitman on their floors and on, .returning, home,, proceeded to take the measure of Whitman. Montana and Washington. The Aggtea had to fight for ev ery one of their coaot conference victories. They defeated Washing ton State by a four-point margin. 18 to 14; Oonsaga. Idaho and Whitman by one-point margins. 22 to 21, 19 to 18 and 12 to 11, re spectively. On returning home they won handily from Whitman, 40 to 18, but had the time of their life downing Montana, 24 to 22. They capped their victorious march with the win over Washington. The Webfooters started the week with a rush. They won from Whit man, 44 to 22; and M on tuna. 33 to 24, but lost to Washington.
