ested persons met here recently to
consider whut plans were to be de
veloped find arrangements made
for holding the community fair
here uKatu this full. While a fair
representation of the town und
community was present ut the
meotiiiK, nothing definite wus de
cided regard ln tho steps to be.
taken.
Next Monduy night has been set
aside n a the date for another
meeting, when it Is expected tliut
the matter will be decided upon.
The fair has hceii conducted
during the past two fulls, und bus
been u success from every slunl
point. The attendance has been
remarkably good ut all times, with
practically ull expressing them
selves, well satisfied.
The question of whether un ef
fort should be mude to prepare
better for the rodeo sports at the
hall grounds or whether this port
of tiie program should be dropped,
has received considerable discus
sion, Willi some ftivoring t he lat
ter plan. However, many express
Hie opinion that, should this part
of 1 he fair be done away with,
that it would take uway some of
the most Interesting phases of the
fair. This question has been
hrought up because of the luck
of necessary fences and other
equipment.
The fair has been a success
rrom a financial standpoint,, us
shown by the receipts und ex
penses for the two preceding
years. The orgunlzution bus ut
this time it balance or $;!''J.4ii to
Its credit. The total expense of
the fair last year wus $:tt3.15, with
the receipts amounting to $489.45.
A balance of $183.16 wus curried
over from the U22 fair. Officers j

surer. Many of the members or
the local grange are strongly In
favor of having the fair continue.
