; About the Wheat Meeting
"6' No better thing could have been planned than the
meeting for all interested in wheat growing which will be
held Saturday afternoon at the city hall at 1 o'clock.
.: '' The new plan for marketing wheat is the biggest thing
hat. has ever been put before the farmers and other busi
ness men of the northwest, and under no consideration
should there be anyone interested in the welfare of the
-industry stay away from the meeting.
It is well known by all that this is the plan which
seenis to be able lo snatch the wheat grower from bank
ruptcy, and wjtlL.a resource as largo as wheat growing is
in the Grande Konde valley, it behooves everyone to take
the propei'irkerest.
; This means that every business house and professional
office in the city should be represented. The speakers who
will be present will give all details relative to the new move
ment and will answer any and all questions,
i ' La Grande as a community has an opportunity to not
only inform itself on the wheat situation, but it also, has
an opportunity to aid the success of the plan very materially.
