An unusually pleusunt afternoon
wan spent yesterday by the mem
bers of the Thursday Auction
Bridge club, when they met at the
home of Mrs. R 8. Ivanhoe. A de
licious three course luncheon wnb
served by tho hostess at 1 o'clock,
after which the afternoon was
spent at three tables of bridge,
with high lienors going to Mrs
Georjre T. Cochran.
Mrs. Kobert Paterson will enter
tain the club next Thursday, Janu
ary 17, with a 1 o'clock luncheon
and an afternoon at bridge.
The members of the J. II. Card
club spent a delightful afternoon
yesterday when they met at the
home of Mrs. 1-1. H. Boylen. The
afternoon was pleasantly spent n1
three tables of "Mio" vith high
honors Kolnff to Mrs. I.. G. Terry
and Mrs. lVrry Caldwell winning
tho consolation prize.
Before adjournment a delicious
two course luncheon was served by

for several weeks and was well at
tended by all members.
