Keeping Up With Corvallis One of thdVeiy best nnnual editions that has come to the desk of the Evening Observer is that of the Corvallis Garatte-Times which was issued as a New Year greeting to the'people of Benton county. ' Forty pages Of bright, interesting descriptive matter of Oregon and the Willamette valleyiuses one tox think twice, for the Gazette-Times has so adroitly written up the different communities that each one seems to offer attrac tions of its own. .'The editorial page of this special edition is filled with the excellent productions of Editor Claude ingnlls, while the advertising sections show that the business manage ment of the newspaper is well cared for. Such editions as the New Year's numlier of the Gazette-Times are price less to the community in which they are published. The Pendleton East Oregonian is worrying quite a lot about the amount of money Henry Ford will save when the Mellon tax reduction plan is put into operation. Why worry about Henry? Everyone was at that a few weeks ago and then Henry cleared the atmosphere with his own words. He may reduce the price of flivvers again, espe cially those used by members of the Democratic party.
