A Courtesy Campaign
The American Automobile Association lias started a move
ment for more courtesy among- drivers of cars. I'ointing out
that a certain fraternal bond exists among motorists, the secre
tary of the association remarks that accidents occur in every
place where the public meets, but they, are minimized by mutual
tact, courtesy and forebtai ulice.
' Why should it not be the same with automobilists? The
largest public gathering in the world is that of automobile driv
ers on the highways of the nation, and certainly the same cour
tesy that prevails in other walks of life should prevail here.
A few softly spoken words when a minor accident does occur
would often turn a potential lawsuit into a lifetime friendship,
for their is nothing that draws men together like a willingness
to assume the blame, even when one knows he is not entirely
at fault. The automobile courtesy campaign now being launched
