While cruising in his yncht in the Great Lakes he picked up
a newspaper several days old in which he read of a woman who
had been arrested on a charge of shooting her husband. She was

to furnish bail for the woman's release from prison.

The home should, of course, come first. Fveryone who has
given any study to. the subject of thrift and the best methods of
promoting- it knows that owning one's home is of paramount im
portance. The backward and poverty-stricken countries of tho
world have been those in which the people were mostly tenants.
Once "landlordism" has been ended, prosperity has come. The
United States is what it is a well-to-do and advanced nation
largely because millions of the citizens own their own home's.
