Petitions asking for the formation
of another high school district in
Umutilla county have been filed in
the office of Supt. VY. V. Green by

have three school districts combined
into the new proposed Union high
school district- These districts are
numbers 78. Albee HO. Ukiah. and
34, which is east of Ukiah. If the

Band Dance a Success
The dance, given by the La Grande
Municipal' Band last evening in the
Zuber hall, proved a very successful
affair, the attendance being very
good. An impromptu program was
rendered preceding the dance and
