This is part of a country wide movement to interest the youth of: the land in the greatest of industries,1 agriculture, and demonstrate to them that all the opportunities are not in thte cities. All of these children suc cessfully marketed their products and, no doubt, built up a bank bal ance in excess of what thev believed possible. . -.- "' . 1 ' mm is a practical way oi snowing the youths that there is mony to be made on the farm. However, the work does not stoD there. Efforts ore devoted to instructing these chil dren in a broader way, showing them what is to be gained by adopting business methods, by crop rotation, all to the end that future generations of farmers may have an easier lite and a handsomer reward- The rush to the cities is becoming a serious problem, leaving the agri cultural districts short not only of workers, tout of leadership, which is almost as vital. Helping and stimulating the work of the 'hoys and girls clubs in Wis consin and throughout the country may be the initial step toward solu tion of one of the gravest of prob lems. "HEART'S HAVEN" AT ARCADE pi:asing picture. Do you wish to see a good, human story about real folks a story that actually -mirrors life, your life and the life of your neighbors? Do you wish to see a picture that will make you say, I know a woman just like that," or "The author must have known a man lilke my son or my husband?' Then drop in at the Ar cade theatre today or Saturday and see "Heart s Haven," Benj. B. Hamp ton's latest production und the new est Hodkinson release. In "Heart's Haven" the hero does not make a million, but he does win out -over all his difficulties. The heroine does not marry a title but she does mate with the man she loves. Carl Gnntvoovt, whose popularity has 'been won as the hero of west ern (irama, shows his versatility in a new type of part, as the hero of every day life. Claire Adams scores a success as the lovely and suffering heroine who meets witn an accident anil is linally cured by an act of faith. - "Heart's" Haven" also shows in sharp contrast two mothers the right kind and the wrong kind of mother. The right kind happens to be also a ' mother-in-law. If this seems almost a contradiction, ask yourself this question: Why do the stage ami screen always depict i mean mother-in-law? Why is she nl ways the butt, of coarse jokes? Is this fair, considering the number of nice, sweet, comioitable and com forting mothers who are giving their lives in devotion to married chil dren ? Claire IMcDowell as "May Caro line," does justice to the real moth ers we know in life. T he fine, Spir itual quality of Miss McDowell s act ing makes the personality of "May Garonne a lovely anil lovahle char acter. ' - '-.. , '- . ' . Betty Brice, the clever character actress, known behind the footlights as ".Kosetta Bnce, is the far from angelic daughter-in-law. She is the wile who thinka that marrine-e menus give anil take. You give und I take, -The cast, like all Hampton produc tions, is an all-star group of leading ami cnaracter players including Koli ert McKim, Jean Hersholt, Betty Brice, Frank Hayes, Aggie Herring, Harrv Lorraine and the two famous child actors, I-rankle Lee and Marv Jane Irving.
