vital necessity of the nation that
American mothers nwakeh to keep
interest in tne problem and the wel
fare of the classroom 'teachers of
America, Garland W. Powell, director
of the National Americanism com
mission, American Legion, Indian
apolis, Ind., told the departments of
ciassrocm teacners at today s ses
sion of the Nntional Education aasn
iciatlon convention here. Mr. Powell
said:
