Arizona, is authority for the state
ment that Arizona is on the yearly
visiting list of 129 species of mirrn

Approximately 100 other species of
the aerial tourists are transient
guests. Some of these, en route to
winter or summer homes elsewhere,
atop here for a visit c,f courtesy;
others, aimless wanderers of Hi bird
world, appear infrequently and for
no particular reason,
Perhaps the most Interesting
these winged visitors are the water
snecies, most frequently near Yuma.
Professor Vorhies attributes the

water in a region where desert con
ditions predominate to the proximity

killed and the bodies were buried
