A tribute to those pioneers Vho
first came to the Oreiron country and
a memorial of the hiKtorical impor
tance df the Old Orcccji Trail, is
the booklet "The P.-ad Which Saved
an Empire," issued by the trail asso-
cation, which will be distributed to
all parts of the nation, states the
Baker Democrat.
"The purpose of the booklet is to !
Ifive an accurate complete history, of i
me um urefron trail, sc. that its his-!
toncal importanco mav be annrc-
ciated," said W. E. Meacham, trail
association president who edited the
pamphlet. It is planned to send 2.r.-
000 copies' of the booklet to all parts
of the country and particularly those
districts most affected by the trail.
