Chevrolet began in July, 11121, to
buitd a hotter product. New front
axle bearings were adopted, a better
rear axle made, an improved clutch
developed. Every part of the car
which had given trouble was rede
'uriied. Some idea of how thor
oughly the "490" Chevrolet has been
remade mnv be gained from the en
gineer's report. In the body and
top there were 22 changes, in the
front axle and wheels 10, in the rear
axle six, in the transmission seven,
in the motor 10, and in the chassis

between July 1, 1921, and July 1,

Not satisfied with these Chevrolet
made 20 additional changes in the
192!! model which is now having such
a remarkable run of sales. Officials
who have been responsible for the
