London. Parasols today are ex
ceedingly short and stubby, just
eaping ugliness because the squat
ferules and handles are so prettily
decorated. Egyptian and Oriental
designs in colors are painted or enam
eled on both handle and ferule and
the silk is resplendent with Luxor
figures.
