girls went on a hike la si week about
three miles east of lmbler. This is
the first hike the Camnfire Girls
have had since their organization.
They cooked their supper on the
mountain and returned home after
dark. They had a very pleasant time,
and expressed a desire to go on an
other hike in the future.
Monday afternoon, a school elec
tion was held for the purpose of
I electing someone as chairman of the
schoolboard, to take the place of L
A. Stringham who recently resigned.
Ray Wilson whs elected to finish Mr.
Stringham's term.
A game of baseball was played be
tween lmbler nnd Alicel grade teams
Thursday. The score was 17-16" in
favor iof lmbler.
A game was also played between
the lmbler and North Powder high
school boys Friday. The score was
18-3 in favor of lmbler. North Pow
der had a difficult time getting
started. Her three scores were made
in the 8th inning.
Mr. Allen, the state club leader,
and Mr. .Avery, the county agent,
were in lmbler MVnday organizing
the pig club boys for this year.
The biology- class of the lmbler
high school went on a trip to the
West mountains last Friday to get
materials for their class work-
The farmer's Union gave a pro
gram and box social in the Legion
last Snturday evening. The
farmers Union have bought the old
school building and the wcial was
given to raise means for repairing it.
