The good time be gan in the afternoon with the meet ing at the home of Mrs. A. L. Iiich ardson. After initiatory work and routine business, the distinguished guest, Mrs. Mary Logan of Chap ter O, Albany, was presented and in a most helpful talk she impress ed the members with her charming personality und her devotion to the principles of P. E. O. Mrs. I.ogan was then presented with a basket of sweet peas amK roses from the K. I. L's Mrs. Hal Bohnenkamp and Mrs. Ira Aldrich added to the enjoyment of the afternoon with vocal music. They were accompanied by Mrs. Berry and Miss Quiglcy, respec tively. In the dining room Mrs. Mossman served the ices while Mrs. Stanch field presided at the coffee urn. At the dinner hour, the ladies and their husbands, with Mrs. Logan as guest of honor, enjoyed a banquet at the y, M. C. A. The Ladies Aid of the Presbyterian church was re sponsible for the splendid menu served. Mrs. . S. Ber ger entertained the Women of Mooseheart Legion Thursday after noon at the home of Mrs. Brnnnon on N. (ireenwood street. The after noon was spent in needlework and games, Prizes were won by Mrs. Stuart nnd Mrs. Smith, consolation going to Mr. Trov-ost and Mrs. Col lins. At the close of the afternoon's fun, refreshments were served. Those present wore Mcsdamcs Har lan, Fisher, Don Shanks, Roy Smith, Kline, Collins, Lund, C'randall, May ville, Provost and Mason. Guests of the afternoon were Mrs. Mr Donald of Promise and Mrs. Stand ley. The Woman's Reading Circle for bible study which has been meeting with iMrs. Harriet .McDonald will meet next Tuesday nt 2:110 o'clock p. m., at tho Neighborhood club rooms. Any ladies who would be interested in this, although they are not members of the reading circle are cordially invited to be Present. . The M. I. A. three-act comedy draina "Star Bright," which was presented Thursday evening at the L. 1). S. taberdacle was a pronounced success, and a very good attendance was present. Tho story was centered about a little village in the Adirondack mountains, and the players all played their parts very well, the cast be ing carefully chosen. The story had an interesting plot and had a good mo'ral. Everyone who attended this play were well pleased. The Foreign Missionary Society j met with Mrs. Fred Smith Wcdncs- j day afternoon with a representative j numiior present, roiiowmg a soon business meeting, the general lesson was held. During the social hour refreshments were served. Mrs. Mason Zweifel entertained the East Adams dub at her home Thursday aficrnoon.
