A little excitement occurred this
morning when Charles Hun, van con
ducted a little private war on an Air
date dog belonging to J. L- Brandt, Ac
cording to information, which resulted
in the dog leaving very suddenly for
deg heaven- Brandt was not very
pleased with the Ainlale's demise but
no action has been taken on the mat
ter. It anncars that the doir has a mean
disposition and has at various times j
fed upon pus.sersby, twice biting Ruu-
ynn s children. Alter repeated warn
ings the dog was locked up and got
out last evening, whereupon Piunyan
(lot out his tiusty double-barreled
shotgun and went agunnin' for the
dog, which was on his property. Fin
ally the dog got himself in front of
Run .van's young cannon and both bar
lels" emptied their contents in the
Aiidale. Neighbors are inclined to
sympathize with Runyan as they state
that the dog has caused endless trou
ble.
