funeral of Donald 'Roderick McKenzie
was held in the chapel Thursdu.v, May
iJo. Tim services wtrc conducted by
Kev. W. V. Shields of Wallowa. Mr
MiKinzio was born April 2!), 18i!l, in
Stark county, Illinois, and died Mmy
li4, 1922, nt his home in Wallowe,
Oregon, at the aire of 01 years and
25 days. When three years old his
parents crossed the plains and settled
in the Grande Hondo Valley at Sum
merville, where he lived for JJIi years.
He moved to Wallowa in 11)00. In
1!M" he returned to the Grande Ronde
.valley again, 'but -was not satisfied and
went buok to Walowa in W2I, where
he resided until the time of his death
His occupation wnj that of a -farmer.

not identified with any church but
was considered a believer in Jesus
Christ as the Son of God. He is
calleJ comparatively at an early age
to take up the duties that are his in
the unseen and, we believe, happier
and better world. May we emulate in
our lives the things wc admired in
him and be heady through faith in
-Jesus Christ to rentier our account
with joy when w too a.e called by
the Angel of Death.
