Koy Smith and Mrs. Fred Smith I entertained theWomen of Mooseheart j Legion. The time was spent at nced- lowork. At the close of the afternoon : a delightful luncheon was served by the hostesses. The Kaffee Klatch was entertained at the Country Club Friday evening , Mi s. August Stangc acted as hostcsK I and carried through her duties very j capably. After the card playing, Mr. I Robert Ncwlin won the gentlemen's ! prize and Mrs. Vincent' Palmer won the Indies' prize, refreshments were served. The remainder of the evening , was spent in dancing and a very en joyable time was had by all preesnt. The local chapter of the P. E. 0. mot yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. J. W. Knowles. Mrs. Lucy Stanchficld - read a very interesting paper on "Appreciation of Modern Painting." The meeting also discus sed plans for making aprons, the prof it to be piesentcd to the local Red Cross Thrift Shop. The Methodist Episcopal choir, those that took part in the Christmas cantata, were entertained at the home of Mrs. Sherwood Williams last night. Members of the choir mem ber's families were invited and a four course supper was served at 6:30. The dining room was beautifully decora ed and the supper was enjoyed im mensely by everyone. -At the close of the supper the party spent the re mainder of the evening socially and then took their departure, feeling thai a very delightful evening had been spent and hearty in their congratula tions of the ability of, their hostess. ' il The Westminister Guild will meet Monday evening at 8 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Oscar Poarch, 2000 Ce dar street. I ! The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club met at their regular time at the home of Mrs. II. K. O'Brien. Mrs. W. (i. Sawyer won high honors for the nftci noon's playing.
