Fred flennison, having completed his contract on the state highway near here, has spent the last couple of days loading teams and outfit for shipping His crew of men, many of whom have heen with him the entire five months, are also gone. Mr. Hennison, with his wife and family, will drive through to Portland in their car. . Mis. A .E. Ivanhoe, county school superintendent, accompanied hv Mis.; Louise Zorn, county nurse, "and Miss Nichols, county librarian, visited the Hilgard school on Friday afternoon. A pleasing feature of the occasion . was the installing of the circulating state and county library, the first ser. ies of which the visitors brought with them. Both childien and grown-ups of the district are promising themselv es much enjoyment out of this selec tion of books. The library will be open at four o'clock each Thursday af ternoon at the school house.
