Crops are gen erally good and the present outlook indicates that a large acreage of wheat and other grain will be sown. Abundant rainfall has recently oc curred over the entire grain produc ing section of Argentina and rwill greatly benefit crop prospects. The outlook for next season's crops is very promising in British South Africa because of ample rains well dis tributed over the country. If the pres ent promising conditions continue, the production may exceed the harvest of any recent years. Corn is looking ex ceptionally -well. Wheat was sowr. under very favorable conditions and the area for the coming season is 839, 000 acres in 1920-21. Rain has been abundant throughout Australia and prospects continue good to excellent. The area sown with wheat for 1921-22 is approximately 9,44,000 acres compnral with 9,082,0(10 acres !n tral Provinces, Ilernr, Hyderabad and Madras, .which comprise fullv two- thirds of the total cotton area of India. nave Deen quite large and it seemv probable that the ultimate cotton aro-i for 1921-22 will approvimate 20,000,- O00 ucres as compared with 21,0110, 000 acres in 1920-21.
