The market situation In Portland at
the close of business last evening
shows the following review:
Trade in the egg market Is show
ing a good tone locally and prices
in general are lirnily held. No change
in the buying price was generally
announced for the day. although
more were paying 2!ic for current
receipts.
Poultry market continues to re
flect nothing but strength along the
wholesale way. Demand remains
surprisingly good lu face of the Tact
that receipts are Increasing und that 1

No change In the local cheese
market .was shown for the (lay aside
from the fact that other districts of
this section have followed the Tilla

below that district's value.
