July 18 -John Smith, rewiilonl of the McKay creek district, arrested yesterday after noon on his ranch, about 20 miles south of this city, on a charge of manufacturing and , having Intoxi cating liquor lu his possession, was held for the action of the cotinty court and his bull set at (500 this morning by Magistrate Thomas Fitz Gerald, justice of the peace. His hearing was set for Tuesday morn ing at 10 o'clock before County Judge I. M. Hrhannep. Several at tempts to' secure his liberty failed. The largest still taken during the past few months was brought Into "captivity" as a result of the raid made near Smith's pluce.
