SUPPORT THE SOLDIERS' HILL At the special election June 7, every voter will have an opportunity to support the Soldiers' Bill wjhich will be on the ballot. Vote for it. Work for it. Every soldier hit the ball when he was commanded, now the command of fair play and justice is upon the voter. Do as the soldier did obey the command. The Soldiers' Bill has two features one a cash award grad ed by the length of time the soldier served, and the other is a loan feature. The first is not so desirable and doubtless few of the soldiers will use it, but the second the loan feature is of the greatest importance, not only to the boys who were in the war but to the state as well. It is a development plan. Help the soldiers to get homes and thereby develop Oregon. The boys are about over the roving habit which was caus ed by the' war; they have gone through the relaxation period which all soldiers must have after a conflict, and they are now looking about for places to settle, making themselves perma nent and at the same time develop property. The Soldiers' Bill will help them do this. Its passage will make more farm ers, more home owners, a better Oregon- Evidently Catherine creek is not the only stream that ov erflows. Up in Washington around Woodland there is a flood that resembles breaking of the dykes in Holland. Anyway, the sunshine is thawing out the old rheumatic pains and every man is walking with more ease.
