year and a half apo, ue wrote an ar
ticle to the Observer, stating- that con
ditions, as a whole, were the best for
poultry in the state. Poultry, as a
rule, in this locality, has been held as
"a jolie." But, all around conditions
with poultry, : epps and feeds have
been brought to tho foreground this
winter and spring and action to
counteract the welling of the products
by the producer and get feeds at a
reasonable rate by organization.
Therefore, a few progressive poultry
men got together and organized The
Eastern Oregon Poultry Producers
Association, with headquarters at I.a
Grande, with U M. Jensen president
and C. S. Schultz, secretary.
Members, are being enrolled regularly-and
we have a healthy organiza
tion. Meeting the fiist .Saturday of
eac hmonth at 2 p. m. A special meet
ing w?s held Saturday last, the -4th,
