LOCAL Show Not Up to Standard The Seigcl Stock company at the Arcade last evening in "Baby Mine" failed to hit its standard, andothe gen eral verdict seemed to be that the per formance was as poor as the show of a week ago was good. There seamed to be a trend throughout the play that was not relished by the re fined audience that greeted the play ers, and some of the specialty work was considered decidedly coarse. It is unfortunate that the Seigel com pany played as it did last evening for it had won a place in the hearts of La Grande people with the show of a week ago, which was a splendid little play and beautifully played. The reg ular visits of the company to the Ar cade are to continue each Monday evening and the show-going public will be delighted when the Seigel folk produce again something of the na ture of "Nothing But the Truth," which was the play that pleased so well. Arkansas Committeeman Here E. B. Isett and family, of Wickes, Arkansas, are in the city looking over the country in a possible view to settling here. Mr. Isett is a member of three committees, the New Indus tries committee, Lumbering committee and Own Your Own Home committee. The Ad Club yesterday tendered Mr. Isett a luncheon at the Foley Hotel at which time they talked over with him the prospects for new industries. Return From Camping Trip Alvin Snapp, proprietor of Snapp's La Grande Pharmacy, and his family, returned last evening from a camp ing trip in the hill's back of La Grande.
