The Ruest list consisted of .Mis. Watkins' (iammi Beta Sororify sisters and their mothers. Those present were Helen Currcj, Hek McDonald, Leta Kiddle, Mrs. Lawrence Dutton.'Inez Knwles, i Minna Ash, and Mrs. Geoijre Currey Mrs. P. A. McDonald, Mrs. . E. Kid dle, Mrs. Albert Hunter, Mrs.- J. W Knowles, Mrs William Ash, Mrs. A. T. Hill, and Mrs. Ernest Watkins. Dainty refreshments were served late in the afternoon. M The William Miller home in South I.a Grande was the scene of much merriment last Friday niht, when their daughter, Miss Gladys Miller, en tertained four tables ut cards, in hon or of Miss Muriel McKinley, of Salem, Oregon. After tliu jrucsts had fin ished their hands, suitable and inviting refreshments were served. Hinh hon ors were taken by Mrs. M. V. Iioicr and Miss Grace Pickens. Mrs. H. H. Cleaver entertained informally on Monday afternoon for Mrs. Catherine Cleaver of Omaha, Nebraska. A very enjoyable after noon was spent. Tho guest lists included: Mrs. Catherine Cleaver, M:s. William .Miller, Miss Mu-iel Mc Kinley of Salem, Oregon, MIS3 Gladys Miller, Mrs. Kirk of Atlanta, Georgia, Mrs. (Sherwood Williams. J!rs. J. K. W'llcjit, Miss Ethel Wright, Mia. Cuninilngs, Mrs. Snapp, Mrs. Cramer and M:s. Charles Clea ver of Inibkir. One of the most chnrminpr events of the season was a house dance n'ven nt the A. T. Hill home last Friday niirht by Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Wat kins. About thirty couples enjoyed the eveninp, which was made complete by lifrht refreshments. The decorations for the evening consisted of house plants and summer flowers which were used in abundance. At a late hour the Kuests departed, nil having enjoyed n lovely evening. ... , Mrs. C. H. Larson left yesterday on No. 17, for her homo in Kansa? City, Kansas, after spending a few weeks with Mrs. Dick Feebler ol l.add Canyon. Mrs. George Stoddard was hostess Thursday afternoon at her home on Vourth street to a number of her friends, in honor of her imthcr, Mrs, James Izatt, of Logan, Utah, who is visiting here. The afternoon was spent with har.d'Aork, after which dajjity fef. jhinents were served. Judge J. W. and Mrs. Knowles and daughters.
