Is Itctiirniuir With Uriilo Henry McCaffery, of the O.-W. su perintendent's office, passed through La Grande Wednesday with his bride on their way to Portland to spend a i day or two. Mr. McCaffery went east to New York City about three I wee,ks ago to meet his bride, who Is j an Old Country girl. They are ex j pected to return to La Grando to ; moriow (Saturday) evening and friends among the railway folks are i planning a cordial reception for them. Visiting Vrom Illinois Mr. and Mrs. Homer Murphy, of Moline, 111., arc in the city visiting for a few day3 at tha home of M and Mrs. J. H. Haley. Mrs. Murphy and Mra. Haley are sisters. Mr. Muitphy is recently ' returned from service overseas. At the conclusion of their stay here they will go on to visit in Portland. Homo I'Yom Kiigene Rov. G. L.
