The niany friends of Mrs. Hopper hope for her early complete recovery, Geo. T. Mangers, of Union, was visitor in La Grnndo today. Mr. Mangers has but recently returned from the service and he was in quiring at the United States Land Office regarding making final proof of his homestead. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Bloch arriv ed a few days ago from . Portland and will remain in La Grande for some time. Mr. Dloch's father Is ailing and this brines them back in La Grande. Word was received this morning that Mood Eckley has arrived in New York from France. He Is at Camp Mills and expects to be home within two or three, weeks.
