worked out with Gustavo last night

exhibited an exceptional knowledge
of wrestling. This should furnish
plenty of interest to those who at
tend. Another preliminary has been
arranged between Pat Foley and Ray
McCurroll, of Pendleton, and the
crowd may rest assured that Pat will
give a good account of himself.
Mr. Anderson has just received p.
letter from O'Connell in which he
states that he is in the best of condi
tion, and that he expects fo leave
La Grande with the winner's end of
the purse.
Taken all in all, next Monday's bill
should bo one of the very best, that
has ever been seen here. It is not
often that smaller cities have the good
fortune to see a wrestler of the abil
ity of Eddie O'Connell, and from all
appearances Gustavo is likely to prove
the enual of the Portland man. The
first preliminary will start promptly
at 8 o'clock, and Promoter Anderson
has promised that no unnecessary de
lays will occur.
