Students in the' eighth grade. In lo
cal schools have been writing on their
mid-year state examinations yesterday
and today. Two sets of papers were
sent out in connection with these mid
term examinations this year. One set
was given about three weeks ago to
schools which were not seriously af
fected by the influenia epidemic, whi'e
the second set, which was given this
week, was for the schools which wero
completed the series of rooms to i prevented by the closing or by illness
ot teacners or pupus irom covering
the work outlined for them.
