FLU TAKES ANOTHEK The death of Mrs. Ida Shelton oc curred this niorning at her home fol lowing a Bhort illness from influenza. She is a sister of Mis. Bert Gilmnn, of Portland, who will arrive this even ing. Particulars are not known, but it is thought that she died from lack of care, owine to the scarcity of nurses. She leaves her husband and on' son to mourn her death, and they also are ill with the disease. No funernl arrangements have been made as yet. Miller, one of La Grande's most popular and respected young wo men, passed away at the Grande Hondo hospital, Saturday, January 4. Her death was very sudden and was duo to ulcer of the stomach. Mrs. Miller was taken sick Friday afternoon and wis rushed to the hospital Saturday morn ing. Her death occurred at o:au p. m. of that day. Emma Gcock Miller was born in La Grande on the 5th of November thirty years ago. Sho wus married to A.
