Business Men Have a Right to Their Bequest. The city commission is composed of busy men. They met to consider the influunzn epidemic, pusscd some rules for the public, then discovered the charter provides for a city board of heulth avA quite naturally left the mailer up to that board for completion.- IJut the commission half way did tho job and then left it to another body to finish. Rules were passed which might greatly conflict with the city board of health's program for bundling the situation. It is u case wliero two bosses are on the job, and it is always hard to follow tho orders of two tosses. When 4ho business men were culled i:i meeting by tho commission Friday evening there whs no one present who was not anxious to do anything need ful to help in suppressing the disease; hot a voice was raised against any torney and the chief of police, then tjjc program for the people to follow can be issued and everyone will knw exactly what to ifo. Strict observance of such orders, wfether they be quar antine, entire closing of all business houses, or partial closing will be ob serve bioause the atmosphere will c cleared and all will know they are act ii.g under the advice of medical autho rity as well as city orders. The city commission could assist to clear up this whole matter by com plying with the request of the busi ness people and turn over the entire situation to the city board of health, in, organization whoso word will be fyinl.
