"Noyes" does not sound a great deal like "Nash," but sometimes over the telephone it does. For this rea son is was ' Claude. Nash and not "Noyes" the son of A. J. Nash, who was operated on for appendicitis and is getting' along as well as could bo expected under the circumstances. W. S.. Parker is among the La Grande people in Portland this week. J. H.
